Europäische Reiseversicherung AG is Austria's largest travel insurer. The product range extends from travel insurance for Austrian holidays and trips abroad, special products for schoolchildren and students as well as for holidays by bus, train or car, optimal annual travel insurance for people who are often on business or private trips to modular travel insurance packages for companies . In co-operation with our parent company and global partners, we are able to offer comprehensive services for on the go.

Our Owner

The majority of our company belongs to the Generali Group, one of the largest global insurance groups and asset managers. It was founded in 1831 and is represented in 50 countries with premium income totaling 70.7 billion euros in 2020. With over 72,000 employees and 65.9 million customers, Generali occupies a leading position in Europe and is also becoming increasingly important in Asia and Latin America. Europ Assistance Austria Holding GmbH (EAAH), Vienna, is the direct majority shareholder of Europäische Reiseversicherung with a stake of 74.99%. Generali Versicherung AG (49.99%) and Europ Assistance Holding S.A.S., Paris (50.01%) hold shares in EAAH. Emergency network of Europ Assistance - worldwide services

Europ Assistance was founded in Paris in 1963 and now has more than 8,500 employees and 5,000 support staff in 208 countries of assignment. The services include the areas of medical, technical and home assistance, as well as the 24-hour information service. With the help of more than 750,000 certified partner companies, Europ Assistance is able to provide immediate help worldwide 24 hours a day - quickly and on site. In Austria, Europ Assistance handles medical insurance claims for Europäische Reiseversicherung.
