Leave the booked journey and send an email immediately to stornocheck@europaeische.at  providing the following details:

• Name, day of birth, address
• Phone number
• proof of insurance
• currently arising cancellation costs incl. cancellation-conditions
• medical certificate (if available)

A doctor specialist in travel medicine will call you and consider the situation. Within 2 working days you will receive the doctor’s recommendation as to whether you should cancel or wait. If there is any prospect of your getting better you can await the start of the trip, reassured that once the consultation has taken place the risk of possibly higher cancellation costs will be borne by Europäische Reiseversicherung.

Important:
The cancellation risk is only covered if the requirements for cover as set out in the applicable conditions of insurance are fulfilled and no grounds for exclusion (which are not part of the CancellationCheck procedure) apply.

We need your personal data to provide medical advice. Your personal data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of performing the insurance contract or because the medical advice is being provided at your request. Where health data is also required to check your claim, we process your health data on the basis of the power granted by Sections 11a to 11d of the Austrian Insurance Contract Act (VersVG).
