Accessibility statement of Europäische Reiseversicherung

Europäische Reiseversicherung AG sees the need to design and implement their websites in accordance with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG – comes into force on June 28, 2025), and thus for all users if possible to be handicapped accessible.
As far as possible, the websites are also in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended to implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and Council of October 26, 2016 on barrier-free access to the websites and mobile applications of public bodies (Official Gazette L 327 of December 2nd, 2016, p. 1) designed and implemented.
This declaration of accessibility applies to the website www.europaeische.at.

Requirements compliance status

On account of the incompatibilities and exclusions listed below, this website is partly compatible with compliance level AA of the 'Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1' and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08).

Non-accessible content

At the editorial websites (except PDF format and form area) are
we are not aware of any non-compliant content. During the development and quality assurance process, all barriers on these pages that were known at the time of the accessibility analysis were eliminated.

The form area (online ordering process) is already partially barrier-free, further improvements or the greatest possible degree of barrier-free access for this area are planned for: September 2023

Most of the PDF documents are not yet barrier-free. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, so screen reader users cannot, or only insufficiently, capture and use them. Among other things, the WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value) is not fulfilled for these documents. A revision of these documents is already being worked on, the conversion will take place continuously as soon as barrier-free versions of the documents are available.

The automatic search suggestions of the search function may be difficult to access for screen reader users. Reasons are the open source software used, which is beyond our control, as well as problems with some screen readers with combined text entry/pop-up fields. However, using the suggestions is not absolutely necessary for the search. An alternative is to enter the full search term and start the search function. This does not affect barrier-free access to the search results.
