Vacationing at home is very popular this summer, so we've gathered some exciting outdoor action experiences in Austria for you. Whether it's wakeboarding, hydrospeed, or zorbing—there's something for every adventurer here.

Wakeboarding

Wakeboarding is a unique water sport where riders use a special surfboard with bindings for their feet. Then it's off to the lake, where you're pulled either by a motorboat or a water ski lift, known as a "cable." In Austria, there are already several installed water ski lifts, such as in Vienna, in Asten near Linz at Au-See, and in Area 47 in the Ötztal, Tyrol.

Hydrospeed

The whitewater spectacle for adventurers. Austria's numerous mountain streams become the stage for this unique whitewater sport. Equipped with a wetsuit, helmet, and life jacket, you head into the cold water on a raft-like swimming board. Action guaranteed!

Ziplining

If you prefer to stay dry and aim high, the many zipline action experiences are just right for you. Whether sitting side-by-side in a group of four on the Stoderzinken zipline in Styria, or for the more daring, lying on your stomach facing forward on the Flying Fox in Leogang—high speeds of up to 130 km/h and an adrenaline rush are guaranteed.

Zorbing

Now it’s downhill! In zorbing, you roll down a hill inside a giant ball, either alone or with a partner. Originally developed in New Zealand, this leisure activity has also gained popularity in Austria. You can try this exciting experience in places like Flachau in Salzburg and in Vienna.
