Menton – the travel destination on the Côte d’Azur
With over 300 days of sunshine a year, Menton is the warmest place on the Côte d’Azur even in winter. Since the town tends to get very hot in the peak of summer, it’s best to visit in spring or autumn. Menton is famous for its lemon trees, which bear fruit all year round. Since 1934, the Lemon Festival “Fête du Citron” has been held there. Thousands of lemons are used to create lemon sculptures for this event. The festival is celebrated every year between February and March.
