Baggage lost?

Landed safely, but your suitcase is missing? What should I do?

A trip doesn't always go according to plan. Nothing is more unpleasant than standing at the baggage carousel, waiting in vain for your suitcase. Just in case, here are some precautions to take:

Damage or Loss

Be sure to obtain a written confirmation of the damage incident on site – e.g., in case of theft from the police; in case of damage during transport from the transport company (e.g., airline). If damage occurs during a flight, keep the flight tickets including the baggage tag (Bag Identification Tag).

To ensure quick processing of your claim, please send us the following documents:

  • Proof of insurance
  • Online damage report or fully completed damage form
  • Travel documents (e.g., booking confirmation)
  • Original purchase receipts of the items
  • In case of theft: original police report
  • In case of damage: photo of the damage or cost estimate for the repair, or if repair is not possible or uneconomical, a corresponding confirmation
In case of damage/loss during air travel:
    – Original flight ticket (boarding pass) including baggage tag (Bag Tag)
    – Original confirmation of the damage report from the airline
    – In case of loss, additionally the original confirmation of unsuccessful investigations (approx. 4 weeks after reporting to the airline)
