The Galápagos National Park on the Galápagos Islands features a unique wildlife and is one of the most protected nature reserves in the world. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. In addition to the famous Galápagos tortoises, you can observe many bird and reptile species, mammals, and fish.
Kakadu National Park, Australia
This park offers breathtaking landscapes and more than 1,700 plant species, along with a wide variety of animals. Nearly 60 mammal species, including kangaroos and water buffaloes, live here. Interesting fact: half of the park is owned by the Aboriginal people, the indigenous inhabitants of Australia.
Gobi Gurvan Saikhan, Mongolia
This park includes three mountain ranges and is a vast natural area consisting of the Gobi Desert, steppe and mountain landscapes, and even icy regions. You’ll encounter a completely different wildlife here, including argali (giant wild sheep), rare snow leopards, bearded vultures, and endangered wild camels. Visitors can also see traditional Mongolian yurts used by the local population.
